Overview
Uber Atziri, fought in The Alluring Abyss, is the level 80 version of the Queen of the Vaal. Her stronger skills put her close to the other pinnacle bosses in difficulty. She drops her own pool of uniques and gems, and the support gems make up most of the money.
Setup
Each run uses one full set of Mortal fragments, placed in the map device to open The Alluring Abyss:
- Mortal Grief
- Mortal Ignorance
- Mortal Rage
- Mortal Hope
One run takes about three minutes from start to finish. That is the house estimate: a 2:30 kill by a good build, plus half a minute for portals and the map device. It assumes the fragment set is already in hand.
The Encounter
- Storm Call - places a chain of marked lightning circles that explode one after another. The empowered version deals 50% more damage, and its true radius is the thin outer yellow line.
- Flameblast - a short channel that hits for heavy fire damage and always ignites. At lower health she casts several empowered Flameblasts with a huge radius that penetrate fire resistance.
- Spear Throw - an arc of spears that cause bleeding, much faster than in the normal fight.
- Damage and Curse Reflection - in her main form she reflects 2% of physical and elemental damage and all curses.
- Summon Demons - she shields herself and summons minions that heal her if they reach her. Killing them as fast as possible stops the healing.
- Split phase - at 75%, 50% and 25% life she splits into four copies, and one must die before she can be damaged again. The copy holding the mirror reflects 100% of damage and curses.
How These Numbers Were Calculated
- The method. These figures are not recorded runs. They are a synthetic sample of 100 kills built from the published drop rates: an item with an 8% chance is counted eight times, and the guaranteed unique pool adds up to 100%. Expenses are one fragment set multiplied by the same 100 runs. The hourly figure spreads the net total over three-minute runs, and that run time is an assumption, not a measurement.
- The rates are estimates. The drop table is crowdsourced, from 1,543 kills on version 3.27 and between 150 and 424 on 3.28. Real results over a short run of kills will differ. The Price of Devotion has no rate beyond "under 0.1%" and is not counted.
- Concentration. Greater Spell Echo Support, a 5% drop, makes up about two thirds of the modelled profit. Together with Vaal Sacrifice Support, an 8% drop, the two gems make up close to nine tenths. The uniques add very little. Going twenty kills without a Greater Spell Echo is normal and does not mean the strategy is broken.
