Ritual Omen Farming in Rite of the Nameless City Chains

Overview

The creator of the strategy farms Ritual omens in Path of Exile 2 by chaining Rite of the Nameless maps through cities. Omens such as Whittling and Sinistral Annulment and Erasure currently sell for well over 10 divines each, so the whole setup is built to see as many omen rolls per map as possible. Cheaper chaotic map omens and Omens of Bartering add a steady income on top.

How it works

• Attach Head of the King to the King on the atlas to unlock a six-map Rite of the Nameless chain. Each map inherits the monsters and bosses of the previous one, so tribute and rerolls ramp up as the chain progresses.
• Path the chain towards a city. The first maps can be run outside the city on a cheaper setup, saving the expensive tablets for the city maps. Players with plenty of cities can simply start inside one.
• When choosing between adjacent maps, prefer proliferations such as reduced reroll cost over one-off bounty rewards, since a proliferation applies to every later map in the chain.
• Run tier 15 waystones; item level 79 is enough for every purple omen. The creator six-mods them for pack size and monster rarity and rolls them with Omen of Chaotic Effectiveness and Chaotic Rarity, though notes a waystone regex on six-mod maps would work nearly as well.
• On the atlas, take pack size on the optional nodes. In the Ritual tree, take the option for more favours and the tainted option for unique belts.

Tablets

• Non-city maps: Freedom of Faith, which doubles your rerolls (keep its increased tribute as low as possible), plus two Ritual Tablets with high omen chance.
• City maps: Freedom of Faith, a Ritual Tablet with three additional rerolls (around 23 divines), one with omen chance and a tribute multiplier, and one with omen chance and reduced reroll cost of 28% or more. The creator considers this the sweet spot: more reroll tablets give more rolls but make each one worth less.

Running the maps

Clear all six rituals, following the trail to the next one; there is no need to rush the map boss first. Tribute is plentiful (around 17k in a non-city map, 20-30k in cities), so standing in the tribute wisp is optional. The loop is reroll, check deferral, reroll: take every purple omen and every chaotic omen, buy Omens of Bartering outright, and spend the leftover tribute at the end of the map. Defer items before they get a red border, or the deferral progress is lost.

The creator also lets the item filter apply to ritual windows by setting the ritual item filter option to true in the production config file under Documents/My Games/Path of Exile 2, and clicks deferral to reveal valuable items that are too expensive to highlight.

Who it suits

The rituals themselves are not demanding, and the creator ran the strategy on a slow budget build, so a faster character should beat the numbers shown. Expect variance: rerolls per city map ranged from about 10 to 26, depending on the tablet effect rolls.
