Overview
Breach was heavily nerfed in 3.29 — the creator of the strategy estimates by 50% or more — but he still rates it as one of the few genuinely viable currency farms this patch, largely because the setup is so cheap. The scarabs involved are common and low-cost, so the strategy stays profitable even at low investment, and he expects prices to stay stable.
His reported result is roughly 2 divines of profit per map, with maps taking around six minutes each. At 10 maps an hour that comes out to about 20 divines an hour; at a slower five or six maps an hour, expect closer to 10-14. The Breach atlas tree rewards sit on top of that and are not counted in the per-map figure.
Scarab Setup
Five scarabs per map:
- 2x Scarab of Stability
- 2x Scarab of Monstrous Lineage
- 1x Scarab of Wisps
The creator explicitly tested the Bloodlines scarab and rejected it. At its current price of roughly 1.5-1.8 divines it does not pay for itself against nerfed Breach — it does not come close to doubling loot. If it ever drops to around 1 divine it becomes worth reconsidering.
Map and Rolling
Dunes is the map of choice for its open layout, which suits Breach well. Roll tier 16, exalt to six mods, and treat 90% increased currency as the bare minimum. High quantity and high pack size are both important — pack size in particular is called out as very strong. Use a currency chisel or a pack size chisel if they are cheap, and skip them if not.
Use as many Fine Delirium Orbs as the character can handle. They are worth more this patch because the overall drop pool is smaller, so the guaranteed higher rewards carry more weight. The creator runs two to three and expects to push to four or five as his character gets tankier — even a single orb is worth applying.
The Breach astrolabe is worth running at current prices, but that flips if its price climbs.
Altars
Rush the Dunes boss so no boss altars spawn, leaving only player altars. Prioritise currency duplication, scarab duplication and quantity. Red versus blue altars is a build decision — the creator takes red because his build can afford essentially every downside.
Atlas Tree
The tree is unchanged from last patch. Take all map effect, all quantity, and all Breach nodes. One change to note: the Breach keystone is now required when using the astrolabe, where last patch the astrolabe worked without it.
Beyond is taken alongside Breach for extra monsters, including Endless Tide so Beyond bosses keep spawning, plus the increased currency from Beyond monsters.
Breach Tree
Rares were heavily nerfed, so the unique and currency branches are the two the creator recommends. He currently runs the unique setup to farm Breach uniques, which still sell well. Alternative routes exist toward belts (via the appropriate Breachlord node) or jewels if those are preferred. On the currency side, there is a choice between a 2% chance of a full stack and the flawed seeds node — the creator leans toward seeds since Vaal-orb currency can be worth a lot.
