Overview
Incarnation of Neglect is one of the three Incarnations, a pinnacle Atlas boss fought in the Moment of Loneliness at area level 84. Every kill drops a guaranteed unique and a guaranteed astrolabe, and the astrolabe is where most of the value sits, so returns are steadier than on a farm built around one chase drop.
Setup
- Echo of Loneliness — one per run, used in the map device to open the Moment of Loneliness. It drops from a memory boss after a Memory Thread is completed.
- Run time — about one and a half minutes per run, end to end. This is the site's estimate for a good build: a one-minute kill plus half a minute for portals and loading the map device, not a measured time.
The Encounter
- Cold Projectiles — fires three orbs forward, dealing cold damage.
- Cold Beam — sweeps the area in front with three or five cold beams.
- Rune Lasers — runes across the arena fire cold or lightning beams that inflict Brittle or Sap; deactivated statues block them.
- Staff Slam and Charged Slam — charges the staff and slams the ground for cold damage in an area; the charged version covers a large area.
- Falling Comets — comets fall on marked areas, dealing cold damage and inflicting Brittle.
- Statues — standing in a statue's circle activates it; it follows the player and its melee hits Maim. The boss can deactivate them after a while.
How These Numbers Were Calculated
- Method — a synthetic 100-kill sample built from the PoE Wiki's published drop rates, not recorded runs. A 33% drop is counted 33 times and a guaranteed drop 100 times; expenses are one Echo of Loneliness times the same 100 runs, and the hourly figure spreads the net total over 1.5 minutes per run.
- Estimated rates — the wiki's rates are estimates from versions 3.26.0 to 3.27.0 based on 540 kills, and most are marked approximate. Real results over a short run of kills will differ.
- Guaranteed drops — each kill drops exactly one of Betrayal's Sting, The Arkhon's Tools, Venarius' Astrolabe or Legacy of the Rose, plus one astrolabe: Templar 33% of the time, each of the nine other types 7.5%.
No single drop carries this strategy. The Templar Astrolabe, at a 33% chance, is the largest row at about 23% of modelled profit; the guaranteed astrolabe as a whole accounts for roughly 70%, the Orb of Remembrance at 33% adds about 18%, and the four guaranteed uniques together make up under a tenth. Because most of the value arrives on every kill, a short session should track the model more closely than a farm that depends on a rare drop.
